Founder

Edward Zheng
Eddy is a senior from Livingston High School. He is highly passionate about applied mathematics and computer science. On the side, he enjoys writing, fencing, teaching, and the violin.
Since joining the prestigious Columbia University Science Honors Program (SHP) after his freshman year, Eddy has enjoyed various enrichment courses such as “Abstract Mathematics through Knots”. In particular, advanced subjects exploring Data Science, Algorithms, and Complex Analysis have sparked his interest in real-world applications of mathematics and computing.
Eddy has extensive experience in math and creative writing. As a mathlete, he has earned AMC 8 Honor Rolls and continued his success throughout high school. In his freshman and sophomore years, Eddy qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME), and earned the Distinguished Honor Roll. Heavily involved in Science Olympiad and Math Circles, Eddy has found ways to apply mathematics in balsa engineering, research, and even roller-coaster design. As a creative writer, Eddy loves sketching out meaningful thoughts from his daily life to craft poems, critical essays, and short stories. In the last three years, he has won many Scholastic Arts & Writing awards and contributed his work to blogs and literary magazines.
