AMC 10
The American Mathematics Contest (AMC) 10 is 25-question, 75-minute, multiple-choice examination in high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills.
Designed for students in 10th grade and below, the contest covers a broad spectrum of knowledge and seeks to identify students with true mathematical talents. It also provides an opportunity for high school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers. Questions range from easy to extremely difficult, and include topics such as number theory, counting and probability, geometry, and advanced algebra. Based on scoring information (6 pts. for a correct answer & 1.5 pts. for a blank answer) and historical statistics, a final score of 105/150 is enough to qualify for the National Honor Roll and AIME Qualification, which is typically attained by only about 5% of all participants.
Jie will be available to answer questions that students may come across while preparing for the test. The workshop will be conducted via zoom meeting. In the case of a full session, ongoing tutoring, or unavailability please briefly leave a message in the Contact page and we will get back to you to schedule another meeting time within 24 hours.
